Did you know that missing just two days of school per month adds up to 18 days a year, which is equivalent to missing nearly an entire month of instruction? Regular attendance helps students keep up with their lessons, build good habits, and maintain their academic progress
NCSD saw a 20% increase in absences for the month of January as compared to absences in January for school year 2023-2024. The district will reinstate pre-COVID automated attendance messages (phone and email) to parents and caregivers of middle and high school students that alert you if your student has an unexcused absence. These messages will begin on Wednesday, February 12th. Messages will go out at approximately 10:00 am each day that school is in session.
