NCSD is excited to welcome back students and caregivers for the 2023-2024 school year on Wednesday, September 6. This year all students will be invited to Open House on September 6th with the Elementary Open House beginning at 5:00 pm. At 6:00 pm all caregivers and students are invited to the High School Auditorium for a presentation about the impacts of social media given by Katey McPherson (a nationally renowned speaker on raising children in a digital age). Middle and High School Open House will occur immediately following in the High School Gymnasium and will last from 7:00-7:45 pm. Each building will be sending home information with specific details for their students and caregivers. Be on the lookout for those letters soon!
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to watch the film Childhood 2.0 in advance of Open House. This film includes many of the topics and information that Katey will be speaking about from 6-7 pm. We are including A Handbook for Raising Kids in the Digital Age as a resource for our learning community.
