PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Newfield Senior High School is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Physical Education Teacher (9-12). Full-time and Probationary. Prior teaching and coaching experience is desirable. Valid NYS Teacher Certification in Physical Education, K-12 is required. Health Certification is desirable. Salary as per contract. SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LTS - Special Education Teacher for long-term (per diem) substitute position April 1-June 30, 2018. SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - Anticipated September 2018 opening for a certified Speech Pathologist to provide speech services to students K-12 in therapy room and in integrated co-taught classrooms. Responsible for writing IEPs, progress reports, RS logs, testing and evaluation of students. Needs to be familiar with updated testing and have good communication skills. Apply via OLAS. SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER - Anticipated September 2018 opening for a certified K-12 School Social Worker to provide psychological counseling, mental health support, family support and assistance to students and teachers in the school setting. Responsible to provide counseling to students as per IEP or on an as-needed basis; complete RS logs for billing; work with mental health team of teachers and administrators; conduct home visits when necessary. CLEANER (FT) - There is currently an anticipated vacancy for a full time 12-month Cleaner to clean schools as assigned and provide maintenance as directed. Duties include general cleaning of school buildings--classrooms, bathrooms, offices and hallways—and occasional minor maintenance tasks. May also be required to set up and provide support during special events. Other duties as assigned. This will replace the hours previously worked by Sara Pierce and will work under the direct supervision of the Facilities and Security Manager.
