MATH TEACHER - The Newfield Central School District is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an anticipated vacancy for a full-time, probationary Math teacher.

GUIDANCE COUNSELOR (LTS) - Anticipated 3-month vacancy for a long-term substitute middle school Guidance Counselor. Work with students in academic, personal, social and career-related areas. SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Anticipated vacancy for a Special Education Teacher to provide special education services to 7th grade students in integrated co-taught classrooms for Math and ELA. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, LEVEL II - Anticipated vacancy to serve as receptionist and secretary for a busy Middle School office. Seeking someone with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Confidentiality and discretion a must. This is a full time, 12-month position to work under the direct supervision of the Middle School Principal. It is a competitive Civil Service position for which a current list of eligibles does exist. A Civil Service job description and other information are available upon request in the District Office.
CUSTODIAN - Duties of this position include cleaning of various areas within the school including classrooms, hallways, restrooms and offices. Will also oversee the setup of special events and other duties as assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Facilities and Security Manager. This is a competitive Civil Service position. The selected candidate will have to meet the minimum Civil Service job requirements and take an exam when offered. This position is full time, 12-month, 8 hours/day, Monday through Friday. A job description is available upon request in the District Office. CLEANER(S) - Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms and offices. Set up for special events. Other duties as assigned. There are vacancies for both full and part time positions. TEACHER AIDE - We currently have a vacancy for a full-time, permanent 10-month Teacher Aide who will be assigned to supervise elementary students in the lunchroom, at recess and in the After School childcare program. The successful candidate must be flexible, dependable and willing to take on challenging behaviors. Communication skills are highly valued. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Elementary Principal and/or the Childcare Program Coordinator.
